To Hopeful Attendees of the Buddy Walk,
Due to the recent storms and associated flooding, Saturday’s 19th Annual Buddy Walk has officially been cancelled.
We had hoped to move forward with the event, but mother nature has been uncooperative. The event takes many months of preparation from our team, and unfortunately the coordination of a new location is not feasible by Saturday.
We know that this comes a huge disappointment to all of you planning to attend, the volunteers who have been preparing, the entertainment who look forward to sharing their talents with us, and the sponsors who so generously support the event.
If you are interested in a refund of your registrations or purchase of t-shirts, we’ll have a form on our website up in the next week to coordinate those items. We’re also formulating plans for distribution of shirts and will provide more information on that soon. We have lots of raffle items that were donated, and we’ll be in touch on how we plan to use those gifts.
Thank you for your continued support of the Buddy Walk and New Directions. We look forward to communicating with you in the next few weeks and months ahead.
